Why is a Boating Pass membership such a great deal?

Close your eyes and imagine a warm evening, the sun setting over the pines, and the dragonflies darting about the surface of the water. All you can hear is an occasional birdcall and that wonderful sound of your boat rhythmically cutting through the mirror surface of the water. This is solitude. This is relaxation. This can be your late spring, summer and early fall at Hopkinton State Park with Outdoor Recreation of Hopkinton or at Spot Pond with Spot Pond Boating as your host for warm- weather fun close to home with a Boating Pass membership.

The Boating Pass Membership program has Individual and Family plans with two options - the popular Unlimited option allowing for unlimited boating throughout the entire five-month season. The Selectoption allows for weekend boating in the spring and fall, and weekday only boating in the summer (from Saturday, June 14 - September 1st at ORH, and Saturday, June 21 - September 1st at SPB). If you are a Select member and you want to boat on a weekend or holiday during these dates, you and those listed in your membership pay just 50% of the normal rental rate (guests will pay the standard rental rates however). Pricing for the various options is below.

Membership Details & Privileges:

• Unlimited members can boat all season for no additional fees.
• Select member privileges allow for weekend boating in the spring & fall, & weekdays only in the summer season at both Hopkinton and Spot Pond. Select members can boat on weekends during the summer season for 50% of the normal rental fee.
• Members have equal privileges at both locations including Outdoor Recreation of Hopkinton & Spot Pond Boating.
• Members can bring one guest/day/member for a $10 daily guest fee w/a max of two guests/family/day.
• Charles River Canoe & Kayak, in cooperation with Outdoor Recreation of Hopkinton & Spot Pond Boating, will provide a 25% discount off rental rates to ORH/SPB boating pass members at any of their three locations - just show your ORH/SPB Boating Pass card.
• Memberships are non-transferable between individuals and are non-refundable.
