Adult Sailing Lessons 2008 (age 17 & up)

All group sailing lessons take place at Spot Pond

Cost is $210 per course for non-members and $185 for Boating Pass members.

Non-members are entitled to two hours of practice time with each course. Additional non-member boat hours can be purchased for $48 per hour.

All courses run on weekends Saturday and Sunday unless otherwise noted.

ABS, Adult Basic Sailing - Our popular beginners' sailing course is condensed into two consecutive weekends, 3 hours each day, for busy adults. A fun and affordable "start from scratch" approach, covering all the essentials to get you started sailing on your own. Considerable hands-on sailing for each participant in included. This class is recommended for experienced novices looking to brush up on their fundamentals. Basic Sailing manual included. Prerequisites: ability to swim.

AIS, Adult Intermediate Sailing - this program is the ideal follow-up to Adult Basic Sailing to build confidence and reinforce basic skills through plenty of well coached practice sailing. This program is condensed into two consecutive weekends, 3 hours each day, for busy adults. Brief daily class time demystify sailing theory - the aerodynamic principles of wind and sail propulsion. Sailing Theory, Vol. l manual included.
